Course Overview
The purpose of this presentation is to discuss many aspects of mental health, counselors, EAPs, and responses to an athlete’s death and the grief an athletic trainer can feel if this occurs. The course will discuss support for athletic trainers who are grieving the death of an athlete as well as how emergency action plans should include processes in the tragedy of an athlete’s death. Furthermore, this course with discuss what the qualifications of a mental health professional are and how to integrate one into your team or department.
