NATA Position Statement Series: Dental Injuries (0.75)
Sandy & Randy Harris
Course Overview
The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Position Statement on Preventing and Managing sports-related dental and oral injuries. While not common injuries, it is important to understand everything that goes into them and how to best manage them when they do come up. This course will describe the anatomy of the mouth and tooth and serve as a great refresher for those areas. It will also go on to discuss some great ideas to develop a relationship with a team dentist and having someone you can reach out in case of an emergency.
