Dynamic Tape w/ Ryan Kendrick (1.0)
Shelby Daly
Course Overview
Dynamic Tape was developed to function as a biomechanical aid that assists movement by absorbing and redistributing load rather than simply providing sensory feedback. Unlike many traditional taping systems, Dynamic Tape is designed to mimic the function of an external muscle by storing and releasing elastic energy during movement. This approach may help reduce stress on injured tissues while maintaining functional movement patterns. The system has been applied across a wide range of populations, including elite athletes, orthopedic patients, and individuals with neurological conditions. Athletic trainers should understand the biomechanical principles behind various taping methods to select the most appropriate intervention for each patient.
