The purpose of this presentation is give the history of the use of kettlebells in training athletes and tie that into how it can be utilized in rehabilitation. There will be a discussion on the biomechanical principles of various kettlebell exercise and how that can stress the body in unique ways compared to other training/rehab modalities. Finally, this presentation will examine the evidence for kettlebell training in rehabilitation and athletic performance and give some practical ideas for application into your practice.
