Course Overview

The purpose of this presentation is to summarize the use of neuromuscular electrical stimulation as it pertains to muscle re-education. The course will cover the important principles regarding the use of electrical stimulation and provide a baseline of what you need to know. The physiology of electrically induced muscle contractions will then be covered to ensure a baseline understanding. Lastly, the course will cover the implementation of the best available evidence for the use of NMES in practice.
