Course Overview
The purpose of this course is to describe what pain is and how it affects athletes through the entire injury process. Pain is a very complex phenomenon and having an understanding of it can aid in the care of patients. This course will examine the detrimental effects pain has on human movement and how that impacts the recovery process. There is also a discussion on potential intervention strategies to treat the athlete in pain and help them progress back to their desired activity.
