Course Overview
The purpose of this presentation is to summarize information around training load and how you can utilize it in your return-to-play and monitoring programs. The course will explain the complex relationship between injury risk-reduction and injury risk associated with training. The course will then go on to discuss the injury risk associated with excessive increases in training loads. It will also cover the acute:chronic workload ratio to help gauge the amount of work/strain on an individual. Finally, it will discuss how excessive training loads may increase risk of contracting illness.
