Course Overview

The purpose of this presentation is to summarize the NATA’s Position Statement on Acute Wound Care. The course will go into depth on the management of acute skin trauma as laid out in the position statement. It will go beyond the position statement and review the wound-healing process and the steps that must occur in order for a wound to heal. Further, the course will discuss the different supplies needed for appropriate wound care and what you can add to your kit to ensure you are practicing at the highest level and providing the best care possible.
